Our Story

Every Book Has a Purpose. Every Person Deserves an Opportunity.

Bound for Purpose began with something simple: a love for books and a dream of making a difference.

What started as an idea to give pre-loved books a second chapter quickly grew into a vision for something much bigger.

A place where books bring people together, stories find new homes, and opportunities are created for those who deserve to be seen, valued, and included.

More Than Just a Bookstore

At Bound for Purpose, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to find purpose, experience belonging, and take pride in meaningful work.

Our dream is to one day create a welcoming bookstore that provides meaningful, stable, paid employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

We envision a place where employees are celebrated for their abilities, encouraged to grow, and given the opportunity to thrive.

A place where customers come for the books but leave knowing they're part of something special.

Where We Are Today

Every great story has a first chapter, and we're just beginning ours.

Right now, Bound for Purpose is growing through donated books, online sales, and the generosity of people who believe in what we're building.

We're starting small, learning along the way, and working toward a future where our love of books can create lasting opportunities.

We're not a nonprofit organization, and we haven't opened a physical bookstore or created paid positions yet. Those are dreams we're working hard to turn into reality.

You're Part of Our Story

Whether you purchase a book, donate a few from your collection, share our mission, or simply cheer us on, you're helping us write the next chapter.

Every book deserves another chance to be loved.

Every person deserves the opportunity to shine.

And together, we believe something beautiful can grow.

Thank you for being part of Bound for Purpose.
